JANA SE
JANA SE is where aid recipients become business owners — vocational training that turns skills into a sustainable income and a way out of poverty.

Project Summary
JANA SE (Social Enterprise) is the bridge between receiving aid and achieving independence. By training 42 beneficiaries in marketable skills, we help them move beyond welfare toward genuine financial self-sufficiency — transforming hobbies into sustainable livelihoods.
The programme delivers hands-on training across three sectors — culinary, eco-products and wellness — paired with immediate market access. Graduates are integrated directly into the Altruis supply chain, gaining a professional track record, business confidence and real income.
This is the final phase of our Theory of Change: circularity. Instead of hiring outside caterers for the Orang.Baik Friday food runs, we buy from the very people we trained — so every ringgit keeps circulating within the community.
In 2025, JANA SE invested RM9,071.00 into training and entrepreneurship, with graduates already earning their first income from supplying Altruis's own projects.
Goal
Turning aid recipients into independent entrepreneurs through marketable skills and a sustainable income.
Approach
Hands-on vocational training in culinary, eco-products and wellness — with graduates integrated directly into the Altruis supply chain.
Skills that earn an income
Each module pairs professional training with a clear path to market, so participants can produce and sell based on their own capacity.
